“If starting from scratch doesn’t interest Kalpana, perhaps she should consider getting into network marketing for a direct-selling organisation like Amway or Tupperware. Be sure to research the agreements and arrangements of the work before signing on,” I told Akash.

After evaluating all the possible home based business opportunity options, I said, Kalpana should write out a detailed plan and schedule that can be reviewed and revised as she begins the process of working at home.

Two months ago Akash met me and said, “Thanks for your suggestions. Kaplana is doing a roaring business in bottled agro-food products. She had teamed up with two of her friends by investing Rs 2,000 as capital. They began the manufacture and sales of the homemade agro-food products from our home. Her products are now being sold through most of the super markets in the city. They make good profits, which they share. Kalpana brings in a tidy sum of Rs 10,000 every month. If all things go well, I may quit my job and help in expanding the business.”
