The mission of the Texas State Aquarium is to engage people with animals, inspire appreciation for our seas, and support wildlife conservation.
Some of the Exhibits Include:
Tentacles - jellyfish, octopus, cuttlefish, and other strange and wonderful species.
Saving Sharks - informative exhibition meant to change your mind about sharks.
Blue Hole - The Blue Hole reveals a unique and often unseen habitat of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the deep underwater caverns that can descend hundreds of feet below sea level.
Coral Reef - Replicating the features of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef off the coast of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
Jungle - An exhibit showcasing the unique wildlife and geography of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve in Mexico's Eastern Yucatan Peninsula.
Dolphin Bay - Get an up-close look at their Atlantic bottlenose dolphins from two different locations in their 400,000-gallon, 12 foot-deep saltwater pool.
H-E-B Caribbean Sea - Experience diving a real-life Caribbean shipwreck, all without having to get wet.
Swamp Tales - Replicates the forested wetlands where turtles and alligators make their home among stagnant waters.
