Things to keep in mind while in berlin

You should know that Germans are very formal in their approach and would prefer to be called by their Last names with proper salutations, for ex. Mr.[last name], miss[last name] etc. Don’t use their first names unless there is a proximity established.

Though English is the most common spoken language, don’t be surprised to find few historical places wherein English in not in vogue and you will find people who are not comfortable speaking in English.

Be on time as they are very finicky about time and appointments.

Airports and transport

There are three major International Airports in Berlin, out of which Tegel Airport, which has lately been revamped, is the best and provides its passengers comfort and friendly facilities which gives passengers a fair idea of how is the behavior of Berliners, who are friendly and hospitable. Other two Airports are Tempelhof Airport and Schonefeld Airport.

Transport is not a big deal in this city. Bus and Train system is chained in such a system that it covers every small place and regardless of where u want to go, choosing one or both transport facilities, city is not out of reach. Besides that, taxis can be hailed from most of the places and if you want, you can get a cab booked from the reception of the hotel you are staying in, which is a facility available in almost all the hotels.

You can also easily rent a car and the best part is that you can rent a car from one part of the city and leave it at a different spot downtown.
