places of
London. The
Pass is also
described
as “the passport
to the city
of London”. The
London Pass enables a
visitor to
enter 54 London
top attractions,
absolutely
free. The
attractions
include museums,
art galleries,
historic buildings,
places of
interest and
guided tours.
It covers
the price
of over 50
entrance fees!
The Pass has to be purchased in advance of traveling to London. One may choose a 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, or a 6-day Pass. The Pass will start functioning from the day it is started using. One may use it for the entire calendar day, or consecutive calendar days, depending upon the dates shown on the London Pass. The London Pass comes with a London visitor travel card, which allows unlimited free rides on buses, trains and tubes, in zones 1 to 6, provided the zones visit the attractions covered by the Pass. It is upto the sole discretion of the buyer to purchase the London Pass along with the Travel card or without it. While purchasing the London Pass, a colorful guidebook of 132 pages is given free of cost. The book contains a list of attractions that the Pass covers, how to get there, and their opening / closing times, and maps and / or location finders. Mechanism of the London pass For your convenience, the usage of the London Pass has been briefly described below in three sections, viz. Beginning your journey on the Pass, While Traveling, and Seat Reservations and Overnight Travel. Section I: Beginning your journey on the Pass Before beginning your journey to the world famous London attractions, make sure you are carrying a legal pass, that is, it should be validate within 6 months from the issuance date. To do this, firstly present your passport as well as your pass to a railway official, before boarding a public transport, for the entry of your first and last date of travel period. Caution: Do not fill in any part of your London Pass before it gets validated. Section II: While traveling Each day you travel, before boarding a train, a plane, a boat or a tourist bus, write the date of your travel day with an ink pen, in the space provided on your pass. If you are traveling by a car, and in the event of renting a car, present your pass and 1 car voucher for each day the car has been rented. Section III: Seat Reservations and Overnight Travel A very important aspect to be taken care of is the availability of a passenger seat. Though the London Pass facilitates free traveling on public transport, but it does not guarantee a seat. Reservations for seats are voluntary for most of the trains in London, except for all TGV, Thalys, Cisalpino, AVE, and ES trains, selected EuroCity and InterCity trains and for all sleepers and couchettes, where it becomes compulsory to reserve your seats before you aboard any public transport. Condition to be met The Rail Protection Plan should not cover the London Pass. Voucher must be exchanged within 6 months from issuance date. The London Pass must be sold in combination with another Rail Europe product. Pricing structure of the pass with and without travecard. With London Travelcard For Adults, 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, and 6-day London Pass, will be priced at £32.00, £55.00, £71.00, and £110.00 respectively. For Child (Aged 5-15), 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, and 6-day London Pass, will be priced at £20.00, £34.00, £45.00, and £61.00 respectively. Without London Travelcard For Adults, 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, and 6-day London Pass, will be priced at £27.00, £42.00, £52.00, and £72.00 respectively. For Child (Aged 5-15), 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, and 6-day London Pass, will be priced at £18.00, £29.00, £34.00, and £46.00 respectively. Infants aged less than 4 years and equivalent are not charged anything. Important points The London Pass does not include food and beverages, but includes all the ‘value added offers’ specified in the guidebook.
