The original Freedom Tower and Memory Foundations complex plan has been cast off, and new devices are in the works. The tallest building in the world is supposed to be built at that particular site and it will constitute of a single tower. It has been planned that the tower and mast will be expected to reach an astonishing 1776 feet (541 meters) into the sky. Year of American independence 1776 has been chosen to be illustrated as 1776 feet has been chosen as a reference to it . The choice to rebuild the World Trade Center has been a tricky one in view of political and security reasons. The height of one of these towers was 1368 feet. When the towers were completed in 1972 first one in 1972 and the second one in1973 they were the tallest buildings on earth, almost 100 feet taller than the Empire State Building. However presently that the World Trade Center is gone, the Empire State Building once more became the tallest building in New York. Before September 11, the World Trade Center towers were the fourth and fifth tallest buildings on Earth, and they remain the sixth tallest buildings ever built by man. A historical narrative of the landmark of New York the Statue of Liberty. It is located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor it was gifted by the people of France to the people of United States, and is a universal symbol of freedom in the world. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated to the public on October 28, 1886 and was chosen a National Monument on October 15, 1924. On completing its century on July 4, 1986 the Statue was expansively restored. It has the fortune of being the most visited tourist The New York Stock Exchange has an interesting historical significance. It was once the city's northernmost boundary, It got its name from a wooden post that had been constructed back in 1653 under the supervision of Dutch Governor Peter Stuyvesant between the Hudson and East River to guard the town from raiding Indians The post was 10 feet high and made of thick planks. However, before the wall was finished a street began to grow on the "town" side. This became known as Wall Street and over the years, the barrier gradually fell into bad condition as the dreaded Indian attacks did not to materialize. So the name "Wall Street". After 9/11 Wall Street has become pedestrian only street and, you can walk up to Federal Hall, the location of Washington's inaugural ceremony as first President on April 30, 1789. The precise site is marked by Washington's statue. From Federal Hall you can get an excellent view of the New York Stock Exchange. Positioned on Broad Street you can get a marvelous view of the outstanding Corinthian columns and sculpted figures on the pediment symbolizing Commerce. In 1792 under a buttonwood tree 24 New York City stockbrokers signed the Buttonwood Agreement and at that time the New York Stock Exchange was founded. Since then, the NYSE has grown to become the global marketplace it is today. These are a few sites which are famous world over and people from all over the globe come for seeing. It is no wonder that with so many sights to view a short tour of New York will never suffice. So it aptly named “the City which never Sleeps”.
